We are the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area faith-based, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the positive and healing role of religion in the life of our community and nation and challenging those who employ religion to promote intolerance.

We promote compassion, civility and mutual respect for human dignity in our increasingly diverse society.

The Mission of the Tulsa Interfaith Alliance is to cultivate interfaith dialogue in order to protect religious and civil liberties from religious intolerance.

The Interfaith Alliance is a national faith-based, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the positive and healing role of religion in the life of our nation and challenging those who employ religion to promote intolerance. Nationally there are 150,000 members drawn from over 50 faith traditions, local Alliances in 38 states and a national network of religious leaders. The Interfaith Alliance promotes compassion, civility and mutual respect for human dignity in our increasingly diverse society.

The Tulsa Interfaith Alliance (TIA) was formed in the summer of 1996.

In November, 1999 it was incorporated (Tulsa Interfaith Alliance, Inc.) as an Oklahoma not for profit corporation and in December, 2000 received 501(c)(3) income tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service.

In May, 2002, it received its affiliation charter with the national organization in Washington, D.C.


Tulsa Interfaith Alliance is an organization of individuals. It is not actively or passively connected to any specific political, religious, or denominational group.
It refuses to accept financial support from any political action groups, nor will it act as a Political Action Committee to promote the exclusive political agenda of any group.
